Original 16th Century hand colored wood-cut / book-plate of an apple tree also depicting Adam and Eve, with descriptive text in Gothic German. This beautiful print comes from Adam Lonitzer's "Krauterbuch," published in Germany, 1569. The print is double-sided, is on laid paper and due to it's age has stains and creases. It is matted in an acid-free standard 11 x 14" white-core mat. The print itself measures 8 x 12.25" This is an original, antique print, not a reproduction.
