Antique, hand-colored engraving on laid paper showing different species of whales/cetaceans from F.J. Bertuch's "Bilderbuch," published in Germany, circa 1810. This plate is matted in an acid-free, standard 16 x 20" mat, with a mat opening of 7 x 9." The overall sheet size is 8 x 9.75," plate-mark visible. Very good condition, light staining in bottom margin.
