Antique lithograph showing "Cambria winning the ocean race of 1870 from Dauntless. From a drawing by W.G. Wood after a painting in possession of the Royal Harwich Yacht Club. The vessels started on their race July 4th, Cambria won by 1 hour 43 minutes, in 23 days, 5 hours, 17 minutes, from Daunt's Rock to Sandy Hook, sailing 2917 miles. Dauntless sailed 1963 miles, her time being 23 days, 7 hours." This lovely print is an original bookplate from Thompson & Lawson's "The Lawson History of the America's Cup" (Boston, 1902). The print measures 11.5 x 7" including margins and is matted in an acid-free, standard 11 x 14" mat.
