Original 16th Century woodcut / bookplate showing melons, gourds, squash and cucumbers with descriptive text in Gothic German. This beautiful print comes from Adam Lonitzer's "Krauterbuch," published in Germany, 1569. The print is double-sided, is on laid paper and due to its age has stains and creases. It is sold in an acid-free standard 11 x 14" white-core mat. The print itself measures 7.75 x 12.25." This is an original, antique print, not a reproduction.
