Antique, hand-colored engraving showing solitary coral, the caryophyllia borealis. This bookplate was taken from the "Student and Intellectual Observer," published in London, 1870. Matted in an acid-free, standard 11 x 14" mat. Overall print size, including margins, is 5.75 x 9". There is a slight damp stain in the bottom left corner, mostly covered by the matting.
