Antique engraving / duotone titled, "Ward's Island Buildings, N.Y. 1860," from D.T. Valentine's "Manual of the Corporation of the City of New York", 1860. Buildings shown in the view are hospitals and insane asylums established on the island after the City of New York purchased it in 1851. Overall size 7.25 x 13.25" including margins. Blank on reverse, creases as issued, repaired tear in bottom right margin. Item will be matted in a standard 16 x 20" acid-free mat.
